Re: [GP125] RS Base Gaskets
Mike -
They're a classic water cooled two stroke base gasket, with cuts on the
sides to clear the transfer ports and holes in the front for water passages.
Honda has in several. places added a sealer material to cover case seams
and the two water passage holes. Honda makes them from a fiber material in
3 thicknesses - 0.4mm, 0.5mm and 0.6mm. There are three different styles -
'89-94, '95-'97, and '98 on.
I can scan one and send it to you if you want.

I have quite a bit of gasket material that is very consistent. It has a
tolerance of + or - .05mm for most materials, plus I check every sheet of
material when I design a gasket.
The only thing is I have yet to receive my first RS-125('92) and I have not
inspected these gaskets. Can someone describe thsese base gaskets in full
detail.
I have metal and fiber materials but the thickness of these materials are
limited. I have more of a selection with metal gaskets.
I can get a sample from a friend of mine in town for the older RS-125s so
this weekend I'll know for sure.E-mail the list with gasket details so I can
track down any material or supplies I need to order duing the work week.
